NTS looks forward to USA Economic Mission
The world is running on Semiconductors and the USA is leading value creation and innovation in this industry. Focusing on this geographical area, NTS will be part of the Netherlands – Flanders Economic Mission to the USA, Semiconductor Industry. Starting 3rd December, Chief Commercial Officer of NTS, Ruben Jakobs, will immerse himself in the world of trade, innovation and collaboration in the USA. The outlook for the week is promising.
Connecting with peers in the Semiconductor industry
Knowledge sharing and network expansion will be the focus of the trade mission, that will take place from 3- 8 December 2023. It is organized by RVO (Rijksdienst voor Ondernemend Nederland), and led by Mark Rutte (Prime Minister of the Netherlands), Jan Jambon (Minister-President of Flanders) and Micky Adriaansens (Dutch Minister of Economic Affairs and Climate Policy). The mission takes place in Phoenix and Silicon Valley, USA.
The program includes several points of connections, from business visits to network events and knowledge sessions. Ruben: “Companies, governments and universities participate in this mission. Which creates great opportunities to interact with different partners in the semiconductor ecosystems. Not just with businesses in America, but also with industry peers in the Netherlands and in Flanders.”
I’m especially looking forward to meeting industry leaders and discovering new developments in Semicon
Ruben Jakobs, Chief Commercial Officer at NTS
Meeting key players, such as Nvidia Corporate, Microsoft and Applied Materials, is on Ruben’s agenda. “As a leading first-tier contract manufacturer, we work closely together with customers in Semicon, so it is important to understand how the market works and looks like. Connecting with the industry is important for a company like NTS. I will be visiting not only our own customers, but also our customers’ customers. Familiarizing ourselves with end-users is valuable for optimizing our own services”, he expands.
Working with global customers
With the significant position the US Semiconductor market commands, it makes sense to join the trade mission. This market holds interesting opportunities for NTS. Ruben explains, “We have been active and present in the US, since the past 10 years. The area is bursting with knowledge and expertise, which naturally lends to innovation. For NTS, it is vital that we join this trade mission to the United States.”
The visit also aligns with the company’s growth ambitions within the USA. Ruben: “As a full-service contract manufacturer, we are serving Semicon customers all around the world. With the development of increasingly more decentralized supply chains, we are happy to respond to the shift in the market by expanding our services in the US. But more details on that will follow.”
Further information about NTS’ growth in the United States will be shared in good time. But first, it is time to meet likeminded experts, get inspired and discover new opportunities in the Semiconductor market.
