We develop and produce advanced modules for a select group of large customers in the semiconductor and analytical markets, adding unique value to impactful products such as chip machines, electron microscopes, and other high-tech solutions.

Job Description

As an NPI Engineer, you are the technical link between the customer, supply chain, and assembly. You contribute to the customer’s product design and design the series production process in parallel, including all necessary (qualification) tooling, ERP setup, quality controls, and work instructions. Together with the rest of the NPI project team, you seek the optimal balance between functional product requirements and manufacturability in the product and process design.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contributing to the product design process (internally and externally) to increase manufacturability (Dfx)
  • Technical risk assessment using methods such as FMEA
  • Thinking about the setup of the value stream of a mechatronic system to position it optimally within NTS
  • Setting up and releasing the assembly process together with the mechanics and New Product Logistics Engineers according to the NTS PCP (Product Creation Plan)
  • Providing technical support for pilot and prototype production in the cleanroom

Job Requirements:

  • You are a go-getter with a higher vocational or university degree and at least three years of work experience in a similar role in the field of Mechatronics
  • Extensive knowledge of assembly and manufacturing processes and the associated quality assurance, including the applied production means and control/test equipment, and familiarity with FMEA, 8D methodology, process capability, and statistical analysis methods such as SPC
  • Good communication and writing skills are very important, in both Dutch and English
  • You work accurately and can clearly and convincingly present viewpoints, knowing how to approach the right people
