What will you do?
In this role, you are responsible for managing and developing a team of approximately 25 employees. You actively involve them in the developments of the organization, efficiency improvement and quality awareness. You determine (in consultation with management) the strategic department policy and the associated team objectives. In your daily work, you continuously monitor safety, quality, logistical processes and technological aspects during the production process, and you make adjustments where necessary. You are responsible for recording working methods and, where possible, you implement improvements to optimize work processes. You also proactively perform (operational) HR tasks and connect HR to (future) personnel matters to be implemented.

Your further duties include:

• You organize and coordinate departmental activities and ensure that team members are aware of the production planning.
• Translates the forecast into a production/department plan, ensures appropriate staffing and analyses and reports the indicators (KPIs) and makes adjustments where necessary.
• Intervenes in the event of complex (cross-departmental) disruptions or quality issues and provides appropriate solutions to resolve disruptions and prevent them in the future.
• Optimizes the existing or required knowledge and experience within the team in order to meet the requirements and ensure optimal staffing now and in the future.
• You investigate possibilities to organize processes in your department more efficiently, you develop improvement plans and coordinate the changes to be implemented.

Job requirements

• Minimum HBO working and thinking level and preferably a completed technical education
• Experience in managing (technical) employees
• Good command of the Dutch and English language, both spoken and written
• A healthy dose of entrepreneurship and a sense of responsibility
